Postponement – How Estate Planning Can Help Disabled People

Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
We have been getting a number of telephone calls from people who have received a leaflet through the letter box about the new Personal Independence Payment (PIP) which is being introduced to replace Disabled Living Allowance.
You do not need to respond to the leaflet.

Disability North Abseil 2013
Have weekends become less exciting lately? If the usual night out doesn’t do the trick anymore, it’s time for a change!
On Sunday 24th March, Disability North is organising an exciting abseiling challenge that will be all about conquering the Vermont hotel in Newcastle. The event will gather all you adventurers seeking to experience a 200ft drop from the highest abseil point in the North-East, all in support of Disability North.
Prepare to get cheered on every step of the way, and also be in the chance to win four complimentary tickets to this year’s Ladies Day event on Saturday 27th July, which will be awarded to the individual who raises the most amount of sponsorship.
Registration cost is £25 per person and we ask you raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship.

Disability North - Hadrian’s Wall Challenge 2013
84 miles in 4 days! Walking the historic trail from Bowness to Wallsend. Are you looking for a new challenge for 2013? Then look no further than the Hadrian’s Wall Challenge, walking 84 miles in four days. The walk takes place from the 16th- 19th May 2013 and all funds will go to Disability North.
On day one, the participants will be transported to Bowness-on-Solway for the start of the walk where they will continue to Walton, day two they will walk to Once Brewed, day three Heddon on the Wall and finally day four will see them finish at Wallsend. Once completed, the walkers will be invited back to Disability North with friends and family for a celebration in recognition of their achievement.
