We are looking to employ a Personal Assistant to work with our 13-year-old son Muhana who lives at home with mum and dad. Muhana is a happy, smiling, easy going lad who is is happiest when he is out and about being active, going trampolining, climbing and swimming. He is very creative and likes to spend his time drawing or building Lego. Muhana loves animals and has a pet parrot called Mima.

Muhana is autistic and has limited vocabulary and is unable to make a sentence but can listen to instructions and responds well to them. He communicates by pointing or using single words.

He can follow instructions for simple tasks for example like putting bread in the toaster or taking the rubbish out and knows which coloured bin to put items in. Ideally the family would like s PA who is enthusiastic with a genuine interest and enjoyment in working with children with disabilities.

A driver with their own car would be required but not essential, mileage will be reimbursed.

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to work with my 11-year-old daughter. She is a lovely girl, who is very happy and energetic and has a cheeky sense of humour. She loves music, dancing and she loves going to the park or out in the car. She also loves going to the cinema especially films with music and dancing and likes to spend time at the Tim Lamb Centre and caravan breaks when the opportunity arises. She has Epilepsy and a neurological disorder which means she is non-verbal and sometimes uses a wheelchair for long distances. She is fed through a PEG tube, although she can eat soft foods.

The main part of this role is to support with accessing the community, hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview stage. There will be some personal care tasks involved, like changing nappies or clothing and PEG feeding. There may be some medication to be given through the PEG tube, but training will be provided for that. A very important part of your role will be to always ensure her safety.

My daughter likes to be around happy enthusiastic people so you should be confident and outgoing. Once you get to know her you will get to understand her way of communicating and when she is happy or unhappy.

As the Personal Assistant you will work mainly alongside me and under my direction to meet my daughter’s needs. Previous experience of working with children is preferable, particularly children with special needs, but I am happy to consider applicants who do not have prior experience or knowledge but are willing to learn.

I am looking for somebody who is enthusiastic and pro-active in their work and understand the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.

A driver with a clean licence and own transport is essential, mileage will be reimbursed.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced personal assistant for a loving young boy with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, and PICA, due to this Jamie always requires full supervision as he will eat non-food items and has a compulsion regarding drinking.  He currently resides with his mum, dad and sibling and they have 3 dogs.  Jamie also has no awareness of danger and will run at every opportunity.

This role would suit someone that has experience working with children with autism and is a necessary requirement.

Jamie enjoys a variety of sensory stimulating activities including trampolining, swimming and trips to the local parks, he would like to visit and explore new venues with enclosed spaces to widen his experiences within the community.  He uses a specialist buggy as and when required, routine is very important to Jamie as he can dysregulate if sudden changes occur and due to his non-verbal autism, he cannot tell you directly what is wrong, Jamie uses hand gestures and leading to show and tell you, his needs. Jamie does have meltdowns so coping strategies to manage these must be demonstrated and implemented to ensure his safety.

The main tasks within this role will include supporting Jamie in accessing the local community, accompanying and supporting him to engage in his chosen activities and personal care including nappy changing.

We are preferably looking for a car driver with a full clean UK driving licence for this role however this is not essential as Jamie will use public transport and regularly enjoys trips on the metro.

I am a friendly outgoing disabled 68 year old woman who uses an electric wheelchair. I drive and enjoy going out and about to different groups including arts and craft classes.

I need a PA to assist with personal, domestic, and social care. I am looking for someone who is friendly, honest, reliable with a positive can-do attitude.

A qualification in care is not essential.

Driving licence preferable but not essential.
