Personal Assistants – ALDNT

Location: Monkseaton, Whitley Bay

Hours:

1: 16 hours per week 9am – 5pm Saturday and Sunday

2:  22 hours per week 10pm – 9am waking night Saturday and Sunday

3:  Holiday cover, variable shifts as required

Pay: £14.25 per hour

UK manual driving licence essential

 

Personal assistants required for waking night and day shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Plus, opportunity for holiday cover.

Personal assistants required for a lively, adventurous young gentleman with complex needs, varied interests (likes being out and about!) a big personality and a brilliant sense of humour (2-1 care 24/7).

He is an active person who requires consistent, well-judged support to remain safe and to develop and maintain independence in day-to-day life.

You must be a good communicator and have the ability to work as a team member. Must be experienced with supporting a wheelchair user. Experience with epilepsy, using a hoist, moving and handing and administering medication essential.

This is an active and busy role working alongside another PA as part of an established friendly professional team. UK manual drivers licence essential, and a positive attitude towards caring for an adult in the community.

Hours: 2-6 hours term time, 2-18 hours school holidays

Brief details of the job

I am looking for a reliable and flexible pool of Personal Assistants/ Support Workers to provide support 2:1 respite care at home, and also for walks and trips to the swimming pool etc. The requirement is for two workers to be available for every session. This could be short 2-hour sessions, evenings or half or full days – more sessions (up to 18 hours a week are available during the school holidays).
