Job Title: Personal Assistant

Hours: 12 hours total

3 hours on both Saturday & Sunday

Plus 6 hours to be used flexibly (once a fortnight)

Rate of Pay: £13.46 per hour

I’m looking to find a PA to join the team for up to 12 hours a week please. This includes 6 hours every weekend.

Must be able to work an evening at least twice a month as I have two very important meetings to attend. One of them usually involves eating out!

Will need to be a pet lover as I have a dog. Tyler who is really friendly, loves to eat AND flirt. Lol

Help with food preparation, shopping, housework, helping with Tyler and generally getting around and, ideally out of the house. I like going to the gym so that I can carry on eating my favourite thing… CAKE!! Nom nom nom

BACKGROUND: I suffered a brain explosion (SAH) back in 2017 which has left me with chronic pain down my right hand side. At times my mobility is bad too. Fatigue is a big problem and can catch me out at any time. I have wheelchair. Ideal for trips out. At times my speech is slurred, and I struggle with words; mild aphasia. I lost the vision in my left eye due to a rare eye cancer (2019). All I need now is a parrot on my shoulder so I could do a great expression of a pirate!!

A driver is required with their own vehicle and appropriate insurance so we can go out and about. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed.

About the role.

Female carer to join a small team supporting a young lady

with learning and physical disabilities.

The role is to support the lady and keep her safe, working alongside colleagues, in her home and on a variety of activities that she participates in during the week, including swimming, horse riding, cycling, going for walks, participating in activity groups including art and music etc. Playing games and reading stories.

 

About me.

I am a 40-year-old female whom lives at home with mum and dad and our cat Brian. I enjoy a wide variety of activities as above and love watching DVDs (Disney, Postman Pat, Moomins etc), listening to stories and playing games. I use a wheelchair for getting around, but I can walk short distances, if supported, and sometimes get around the house on my bottom. I like going out and about and seeing interesting things. Can you help me do this?

 

No previous experience necessary as training will be given on the job

Must be a non- smoker with a clean driving licence.

I am easy going, like being with people and have a good sense of humour. I like music (The Beatles, Paul Simon) and my favourite TV shows are Neighbours, Match of the Day, Nature Programs and Strictly Come Dancing. I like going for walks, taking photographs and making short films, finishing off with a drink in a café.

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support me to get out and do more of the things I enjoy. Due to my mobility not being great, a Personal Assistant will be required to have their own vehicle and clean licence, so we can go to places of my choosing.
