Creating environments that are inclusive and supportive for everyone, including disabled people, requires understanding, empathy and confident communication. Discovering the diverse experiences of disabled people, will help you to create supportive spaces, bringing your colleagues, managers, and community, on board with the confidence to make change.

Lived experience : Angie has so many true stories, which she shares to explain why this is such an important topic. They show the impact when inclusion doesn’t happen and how disabled people have developed great resilience to live the life they choose.

Barriers : Attitudinal barriers, physical barriers, institutional barriers. There are a whole lot of barriers that disabled people face every day. How do can we identify them and break them down?

Creating Accessible Spaces : Designing environments to be accessible for everyone. Providing accessible information and services.

Communicating with Confidence : The importance of Listening as a big part of effective communication, using clear language and avoiding making assumptions about anyone.

Training for managers : If you are a manager, how do you attract disabled people into your workforce and ensure their employment with you is inclusive?

Delivering inclusive customer service : If you are delivering a service or product, how do you attract disabled customers and encourage them to spend their money with you?

Opportunity for feedback : Participants experiences on the training, workshop or event will be captured and genuinely used to shape future sessions.

Ongoing support : Angie will stay connected with you for as long as you need. Options are for her to share contact details at the end of the session. Regular reviews of the impact of the session in your organisation or a disability access audits to be carried out in your venue.
