Job Title: Communication Support Worker (BSL Level 1)/Carer PA

Hours: Alternate weekends 12.00 – 4.00pm

Rate: £16.63 per hour

Area: YO51 Boroughbridge Area.

Caring for a young lady with learning disabilities. Female applicants only as some help with personal care needed.

The job is caring for a lovely, sociable, young lady with learning disabilities who loves to share activities and outings. You must have experience of working with young people with learning disabilities and autism and have a driving licence.

You must also have a minimum of British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 and be willing to study for BSL Level 2 or 3 (funding will be provided). The young person is hearing and has good understanding but uses BSL.

Village location, YO51 postcode, easily accessible from A1.

You must be able to keep up with an active young lady.

 

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.
