Personal Assistant- DHGTD Needed in Rowlands Gill

Hours: 4 hours per week

PA to be flexible between Friday evening and Saturday/Sunday afternoon

Rate: £16.00 per hour

Area: Rowlands Gill, Gateshead

To support a teenager with autism and a intellectual disability with personal care, having a meal and engaging with activities within the home

Responsibilities/duties:

Personal care and toileting as required

Preparing a simple meal and encouraging oral intake

Engaging with activities within the home/garden such as art, playing with toys, reading books, Lego etc. Occasionally assisting

Occasionally assisting with parent to access the local community

We are looking for:

Someone caring and trustworthy

Someone with care experience, particularly supporting people with autism, challenging behaviour and have an awareness of sensory issues

A car driver is desirable but not essential
