Personal Assistant – Gateshead (NE9)

I am a busy Mum (ADHD/Autistic/Fibromyalgia) to a 7-year-old daughter and 16-month-old boy/girl twins, looking for a proactive, non-judgmental personal assistant who can be my extra brain and hands to help keep my home running smoothly. I am currently recovering from a difficult period and need someone who can see what needs doing and jump in to help me regain control.

The Role:

  • The Daily Reset & Meals: Managing the kitchen and dining area so it stays functional and clutter-free, alongside basic meal preparation or occasional batch cooking.
  • Laundry Management: Handling the full wash/dry/fold cycle and helping organize clothes for the family.
  • Organization & Planning: Assisting with weekly planning/to-do lists, maintaining simple toy systems, and helping maintain a low-stress, low-sensory environment.
  • Flexible Admin & Errands: Occasional light admin (scheduling, forms), collecting prescriptions, or adjusting tasks based on my energy levels (Fibro flares/overwhelm).
  • Occasional Outings: While mostly home-based, occasionally accompanying us on appointments, errands, or weekend activities.
  • Bonus: Being a driver with access to a car would be a massive plus for occasional support with nursery and school runs.

About You:

  • Neuro-affirming: You understand ADHD/Autistic brain function and sensory needs, and can help implement strategies to make life easier.
  • Proactive: You don’t wait for a list; you can walk in, see what needs doing, prioritize, and handle it.
  • Comfortable with Kids: You are happy working in a lively household alongside toddlers and young children.
  • Reliable: Consistency is vital for my family’s stability.
  • Kind & Respectful: You understand the boundaries of working in a private, trauma-recovering home.

Next Steps: If you are interested in being a supportive ally for our family and have up to date DBS checks, please get in touch with your CV and a brief message about yourself and your experience.
