Personal Assistant/Support Worker – GDNCL Needed in Newcastle (NE6)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (NE6)

Hours: 15 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour

Help George stay independent

George is looking for a friendly, reliable and confident PA to support him at home and out in the community.

George enjoys shopping, eating out, watching TV and is a big Laurel and Hardy fan.

The role is all about supporting, not taking over. George can do lots for himself and needs someone who will encourage him to keep those skills.

You’ll support George with things like:

• Shopping and everyday household tasks
• Healthy food choices and diabetes support
• Medication and appointments
• Taxis and public transport
• Getting out into the community
• Encouraging independence, confidence and choice

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, patient and reliable
• Confident giving prompts and encouragement
• Good at knowing when to help and when to step back
• Comfortable supporting mental and physical health needs
• A good communicator with a positive attitude

Experience would be helpful, but the right personality and approach matter just as much.

If you enjoy helping someone achieve things for themselves — and don’t mind a bit of Laurel and Hardy — you could be a great match for George.
